So I've been thinking about what I'd be doing after college lately. If I'm going to try and find a job at some ad agency, or if I'll work in publications, or if I decide to apply as a professor at some college. I've been feeling the pressure from my parents (especially my mom) about not being a bum and finding a job right after college.
The word "working" doesn't really appeal to me - it doesn't appeal to a lot of people. But sooner or later, we'd all just have to get up and do it.
But that doesn't mean that's what I'm going to do right after I get my diploma. No sir.
I decided just last month that I should probably try and go get my masters degree. And that was about the only other thing my parents would approve of besides joining the corporate world after I graduate. I'm actually excited for myself, too. This is the one thing I've ever decided for myself. On my own. Not because people told me to do it or because I had older siblings or cousins who did it too.
My dad was especially thrilled to hear what I wanted to do. See, he works as a flight attendant, and loves to travel. And when he was younger, he himself went abroad to study for a bit. Like he told me when I shared with him my plans, "There's nothing like a year abroad." Well in my case dad, it may be four years. Buuuut I'll come home, hahaha. XD
So yeah. I've been trying to find ways to get a scholarship (since the tuition fees in the States are insanely high) and somehow make my way to Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I've been exchanging e-mails with one of the international admissions specialists, inquiring about how to apply for scholarships and other related stuff.
I am quite torn between two majors, though. I can't decide if I want to take up Photography, or if I want to take up Graphic Design. My only fear for Photography is that I may be required to have all sorts of equipment but OMG I HAVE NOTHING. Can anyone enlighten me on both courses?
And yeah, I kind of need enlightenment on the whole scholarship issue, too. Their tuition for a year is like, just as much as my parents make in a year. HOMG.
Anyway yeah. Just thought to share. I just noticed that I seem to have stopped getting better at anything, mostly because...I'm not doing anything. So I want to do stuff! And well, expand my horizons and all. It'll be one heck of an experience if it pushes through.

ANYWAY YEAH. HI. 8D this wasn't as long as i expected. XD

Because if the parents are the first to put pressure on children to have something for what they have worked well (education) that is why we want to see well.
How well you manage that these scholarships, it denotes much concerned that these, and so can still get it.
We and many greetings.
Besides luck in everything we do.
I just wish you all the best in whatever endeavor you'll encounter in life. Whether in work or studies.
